How to Clean Mesh Pool Covers

Mesh pool cover safety allow water to drain into the pool but keep leaves and

other debris on the surface of the pool cover at the same time. Lighter in weight

gunk left on top won't fall into the swimming pool bottom. Then proceed to clean

the mesh cover thoroughly before swimming season.

Mesh pool tarp are more easier to clean and generally have less mold growth on them than other pool cover.

If the mesh cover does have mold, clean with a mold-killing cleaner. Apply your cover cleaner and wash with a

push broom.  The tool you will need:Garden hose,Push broom,Pool cover cleaner,Pool skimmer,bricks.




1.Remove the debris of the cover surface with the pool skimmer to prevent  the debris falling into the pool water

when you move the mesh cover for swimming pool.


2.Detach the cover either from pool deck anchors or straps around the sides of the pool.


3.Fold the cover in half or thirds, depending on the size of the mesh cover pool Stand at one side of the swimming pool,

and one helper stand on the opposite side for easy maneuvering.


4.Transfer the mesh cover for inground pool to the grass or plat ground. Spread the cover out, and weigh down the edges

bricks, rocks or other other heavy items, if necessary to keep the cover from blowing with the wind.


Spray the cover with a garden hose to wash off the remaining dirt and debris. Apply the pool cover cleaner as directed on

the instructions. Certain cleaners attach to a garden hose while others need to be diluted in a bucket of water.


6.Scrub the cleaner around the cover with the push broom to remove any stuck-on grime. Rinse with clean water from the hose.


7.Rinse the cover and place in your driveway or on a clothesline till it dry. Allow the cover to air dry completely before folding and storing it.





1.Store your mesh cover in a hard box with a lid to protect it from insect that would chew and damage it. Remember Don’t store

the mesh pool cover until it's completely dry,otherwise, mold and mildew will grow on the cover.
