How Reflective Foil for Windows Keeps Your Home Cool in Summer and Warm in Winter

What is Reflective Foil Insulation?
It adopts a double-layer pure aluminum and double-layer bubble structure with over 90% high-reflective aluminum foil material, specially developed for window heat insulation. Instead of absorbing solar radiant heat, it directly reflects sunlight and thermal radiation. It can effectively reflect heat to keep indoor temperature stable by blocking external heat ingress and preventing internal heat loss.
This insulation material is widely applied in attics, roofs, behind radiators and window insulation. It can be customized in size and shape to fit different usage scenarios perfectly.

What is Reflective Foil Window Insulation?
It is a high-reflective aluminum foil insulation with double bubble core structure, specially designed for window application. Instead of absorbing solar radiation, it reflects sunlight and heat.
In summer, covering windows with this foil blocks outdoor heat from entering the room to keep indoor cool. In winter, it locks indoor heating inside and avoids heat loss through glass windows, maintaining a warm indoor environment steadily.
SGS Authorized Thermal Performance Certification
Our 6mm double aluminum layer double bubble reflective foil insulation has passed authoritative SGS thermal performance test in accordance with ASTM C518-21 standard.
Thermal Conductivity: 0.044 W/(m·K)
Thermal Resistance: 0.136 (m²·K)/W
With ultra-low thermal conductivity and reliable thermal resistance, the material slows down heat conduction and heat convection greatly, delivering outstanding heat insulation and thermal preservation effect all year round.

How Does Reflective Foil Sheet Work?
Heat always transfers from high-temperature areas to low-temperature areas. The aluminum foil layer of the reflective foil can reflect heat back to the heat source side.
In summer, it reflects outdoor solar heat away from windows, preventing the room from being heated up by sunlight. In winter, it stops indoor heat from dissipating outside through windows, reducing heating energy waste effectively.

How to Install Reflective Insulation on Windows
The installation is simple and no professional tools are needed. Just follow the 4 steps below:
STEP 1 Measure the window size
Measure the window frame length and width with a tape measure. Install from indoor side in winter; for better sun heat insulation in summer, take measurements from the outdoor side of the window. Reserve a few extra centimeters in size for later trimming.
STEP 2 Cut the aluminum foil sheet
Lay the reflective foil roll flat on a workbench. Mark the measured window size on the foil with a marker, then cut neatly along the marks with scissors or a hobby knife. You can trim off excess edges easily if reserved extra size.
STEP 3 Clean the window surface
Clean and dry the window pasting area thoroughly to ensure the adhesive Velcro sticks firmly. The matched Velcro accessories allow the foil to be mounted and detached freely.
STEP 4 Install the reflective aluminum foil sheet
Attach one side of Velcro to the reflective foil and the matched side to the window frame. Align and paste the foil tightly on the window. The Velcro fixation is firm and removable at will.
The reflective aluminum foil sheet can be installed on either indoor or outdoor side. It can be peeled off in warm spring when you need natural sunlight, easy to disassemble and reuse.
